Joseph Craig English, popular and immensely personal artist entrepreneur and business owner, will share his experiences, offer insight into the creative process and demonstrate the importance of learning sound business practices to create a fulfilling and successful life in the arts.
English’s vibrant details and upbeat serigraphs create deep personal connections and often feature iconic regional themes. Though English has often wished he could be three people, he has resisted every temptation to grow into a large impersonal business, choosing instead to answer the phones and personally communicate with his customers and galleries. His work has been purchased for hundreds of corporate collections, thousands of private collections and many prestigious museums. He accepts several special commissions annually for oil paintings and serigraphs, and is currently building a series of colorful mobiles. English believes there has never been a better time in history to have a career as an artist.
